The Official #12 Tennessee @ Auburn Game Thread, 2:00 PM ET, ESPN

I think Auburn had fewer home losses this year than UK did

It’s a really good home arena. Louder than ours most of the time even though it’s less than half the size
Yet it was quiet when the Vols were playing to their potential. Garbage team and sad loss

It's always the same folks blaming the refs. Hilarious really.

Yep, I’ve said it for 10 years.

I’ve officiated. Sure, it was at a low level. But just keep putting your head in the sand if you think it’s adequate. It’s awful and hasn’t changed.

So we have to play on Thursday now. Better not lose that game or you probably drop a seed line since it will be to a bad team.
Might be the best thing that could happen to this team. An extra day of rest would be most welcome.

When the game is on the line they have no one who will make a shot. Maybe the next group of guys will. Not Barnes fault. Just has a bunch of chokers.

I agree on both counts. Vescovi (slightly) aside, which is hit or miss, Tennessee lacks anyone with killer instinct and I can’t fault Barnes for failing to discern which seventeen-year-old or mid-major transfer will have that innate ability in SEC play.

This isn’t a bad team, it can win in big games but not clutch games it seems.

We have totally blown several we should have won

Problem is that he's the guy that we should be counting on game in and game out. Sometimes he's just not gonna show up. Frustrating but hardly surprising. This team is what it is. Having said that, this one won't be a big deal when it comes to seeding, but it does, perhaps, give us an idea of what to expect come tournament time. Just enjoy what's left of the season and try to recognize the limitations we have especially without ZZ. I'll be happy if we can avoid one and done in the NCAAT.

Oh, he's awesome against South Carolina. I'm not sure we beat whatever low or mid major we draw in the first round.

I don’t think dropping from a 3 to 4 seed is a good thing any way you spin it. A 2/3 not that much different though.

What's so frustrating with this team is they play like they can beat any team in the country one game. Then turnaround and play like they would get beat by a D2 team

Well, dang. Hats off to Auburn. I felt like we couldn’t get a clean look all day. I thought we handled ZZ’s absence adequately, noticed we cleared the ball out with urgency early when we were expecting Auburn to pressure the ball.

Overall, Auburn made some crazy shots in their own building and won a game with their tournament life on the line.
