The Official #12 Tennessee vs. Colorado Game Thread, 6:00 PM ET, SEC Network+

Going to be a tough opener to win I think. They're pretty big, have experienced and are well coached. A big physical veteran team playing their 3rd game vs us in our 1st game all without any practice the last 2 weeks is probably not ideal if you're looking for wins but is exactly what we need. Potential to be a good game I think. They'll play us tough as it would be a tournament resume building win for them, Barnes will likely treat it more as a scrimmage game just to see what he's got, similar to what the kittens and their coaches do every year.

So good to finally see the first official game thread post of the season. Look forward to another great season of UT basketball, although I made the choice to defer my tickets to next season due to uncertainty of both my work schedule and the system used to allow the limited number of fans (season ticket holder of the cheap seats here lol) Guess will have to buy tickets to some games if they loosen up the restrictions. Anyway, IT IS GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL. GO BIG ORANGE.

Put the ESPN App on your TV. Have ESPN+. U can watch on your TV. It’s simple

Fortunately, it's not that simple. Espn+ is a subscription. You shouldn't need it. Secn+ can be accessed if you have the espn app and already get the sec network. You just need to log in through your cable provider once you hit play on the game on the espn app

So if I have SEC alternate already through my tv provider I will get the game correct?

You'll have to watch it online though. Use the ESPN App and you might be prompted to put in your provider login information to get in. The game will not be on the SEC Network or SEC Alternate.

A game between two Power 5 conference teams but need an extra subscription to access it. Meanwhile, there are games between Upper Podunk and the Kentucky School for the Blind that is broadcast on their normal channels. Makes sense.

-on this website you'll be asked to login with your cable provider (see picture below)
-In my case I select YouTube TV then I put in my appropriate login information for YouTube TV

Those of us past a certain age appreciate the baby steps.

Honestly it's far more of a pain in the butt than it should be, the ESPN app is terrible.

You don't get a "guide" view which I hate. You have to sign in to both ESPN (with a cable provider login) and ESPN+ (with the appropriate account login info) separately. So 1 app requires 2 logins, and the 1st one ESPN through your cable/TV provider doesn't include ESPN+ (it's a standalone product). But you also can't add regular ESPN to ESPN+ to create one login...

And then the flipping app seems to require me to relogin every time I use it.

I think Pons or Fulkerson will probably get the first dunk. I would say Keon, but I think JJJ is going to start and I expect an opportunity to dunk happens before the rotation kicks in.
