I kinda like that they put a fight to us the entire game. We played a deep rotation and lots of quality minutes too.

If ZZ & Felix have a better night offensively we probably hit 100.

Things went downhill when Cam Carr came in. CC, Boswell, and Dubar might not be playable this year. I would like to see Barnes bring in someone at the 3 during the break.

Ok performance. I think vols fans are going to have to get used to this team not being a finished product which are going to have some bumps coming ups. Knowing us I imagine first meltdown could come this Saturday depending how that game goes

Honestly, offensively ZZ (mainly from 3) and Felix were the only bad nights.

Gainey was 7 of 9
Lanier was 7 of 12
Igor 3 of 6
Shack 2 of 4
Cade was 3 of 6
JP was 2 of 2

Carr had the roughest night overall, got beat and lost on defense and only had the dunk for scoring. But he played 12 minutes, he just needs more experience in these types of games.

Wonder where Stone would have fit in.

Really good games from Lanier and Gainey. ZZ and Okpara struggled offensively. Carr had a tough night. I thought we did a better job defensively the second half until the last few minutes, but it’s not gonna be up to Barnes standards. We tried a lot of different lineups, that will start to change over the next couple weeks. Saturday should tell us a little more about where we are.

A win is a win.

Also, TBA is a great place to watch a game and the fans are loud. It’s a Monday night and students have exams this week.

Plus, it’s still football season and we’re playing a no name team. TBA will
be rock’n in January.

A chunk of the fanbase is still focused on football so that might be a good thing for the Basketball team...

Gardner Webb had big physical guards, tend to cause Barnes teams problems, Felix and Igor both move the floor well, it gets a little crowded in space when they are on the offensive end, need to figure out how to allow them both to play offense without getting in each other's way, Phillips and Estrella tended to play well togather, offense is a tick slower than what it needs to run at, not sure who will be the zone buster, but there were more positives than negatives tonight,
