The Official #13 Tennessee @ #14 Missouri Game Thread, 3:30 PM ET, CBS

He ran for 112 yds vs Ga, leads SEC in rushing.
Know this will ruffle feathers, but I'd take Schrader over any of our RBs. He runs with passion and runs hard. He's decisive and sees the field very well. He's got some quicks, too. Hate that we lost, but he was a pleasure to watch tonight.

A good passing game makes the running game better. A good running game makes the passing game better. Since we have QB that even the head coach or OC does not trust, we will see stacked fronts and daring JM/JH or OC to beat us with the passing game. Also, you can't leave the defense out on the field all day, they wear out.

I dont expect to see us win a national championship. The glory days are over with. No high schools have any memory of Tennessee as a dominant program. Heck I'm a college graduate and have no memory of us even winning the SEC East
I don’t think you have to return to some prehistoric set. We’ve won multiple throughout our history with long stretches in between. I see no reason we couldn’t return to that.

If players believe we give them the best shot to make their dreams come true and them make it to the NFL the national championship will happen eventually.

We just have to prove we can be that program. Nico becoming a top draft pick and that kind of recognition will help along the way.

All those players drafted last year helps.

I hope Heup is the coach but I have concern as his teams struggle on the road. Jr was not a good team last yr and we had more talent (see NFL draft). He’s struggled this yr on the rd Vs FL and didn’t make any adjustments Vs Bama while Saban ddi at the half and attacked our secondary.

We need more talent in secondary but not getting a push from d line last few games is concerning. And I don’t buy we are being held every play. I refuse to blame refs though they can impact the momentum of a game. But players and coaches are used to it.
I agree totally. Refs were a factor in my opinion, but all mizzouri had to do was run. If we don't stop Kirby early he will run it down our throat. We have to get up in the first half like we did against Bama. If not they will rotate backups in 2nd half

Pitiful effort from start to finish. I had a bad feeling about it all week: they were gonna be amped for the game, it was at their place, line was in UTs favor. Vols seemed confident- maybe too much so.
I pray that our injured are okay. I pray that Bowers doesn’t play next week. I am thankful that we won’t have to put up with CBS anymore.
Hopefully, those who had their heads up their asses in this game that killed momentum will own it and the entire team will flush this game and come out ready to play next week.
It can be done. This team can beat Georgia, but they’re gonna have to put forth the effort. Neyland will have to be loud and we can’t have the mental mistakes. It can happen.
I ain’t happy with 8-4 and nobody should be.
But we ain’t fighting for a bowl bid and there are a bunch of other positives.

Uh...aren't we on CBS at 3:30 next week vs UGA?

The defensive choke jobs we’ve seen for 3 years have to be addressed. They choked today. They flat out choked for a huge game. Again. For the 4th time now? Banks has to be let go along with Martinez.

At this point Ekeler can go too. Special teams has regressed and we can let the hopeful new DC have his own pick to coach outside LBs.

I know the feeling. No one else was jumping like that. You don't see that often when anyone is in victory.

It's classless. Simmons is better than that and needs to be told by the coach, which is exactly what I said at first.
Meh whats one more flag at least that one would be right

Nothing wrong with that take. Kid is a tough runner and can find that space and gets to it quickly.

He needs some mass. Looks like he might break. Some time eating beans and cornbread and pushing weights can't hurt. You think he looks big enough, I don't. You ain't gonna convince me your viewpoint has any merit.
BRU got put out for the rest of the season, is he not big enough? Sorry but your viewpoint is idiotic. Nico could get hurt his 1st play of his 1st start or may never get hurt. You don’t know, I don’t know, huepel doesn’t know, the Pope doesn’t know. Don’t really give a damn if you think my viewpoint has any merit, I don’t think yours does. So who wins

Kid had a game. Give me Sampson…Wright and Small were a non factor. Wright for the first time was a liability today.

This game was much like last year's SC game--except we only gave up 36 and not 50. But the same in the sense that the defense was laughably bad and got run over--and the offense was terrible, too, and did nothing to help the defense.
