This team is not beating uga, SorryPitiful effort from start to finish. I had a bad feeling about it all week: they were gonna be amped for the game, it was at their place, line was in UTs favor. Vols seemed confident- maybe too much so.
I pray that our injured are okay. I pray that Bowers doesn’t play next week. I am thankful that we won’t have to put up with CBS anymore.
Hopefully, those who had their heads up their asses in this game that killed momentum will own it and the entire team will flush this game and come out ready to play next week.
It can be done. This team can beat Georgia, but they’re gonna have to put forth the effort. Neyland will have to be loud and we can’t have the mental mistakes. It can happen.
I ain’t happy with 8-4 and nobody should be.
But we ain’t fighting for a bowl bid and there are a bunch of other positives.

Heupel's offense has always been "run centric" and in particular, runs up the middle and counters. He's not planning on his QB coming out and throwing like an "air raid" offense.Everyone ask yourself this, would you trust Milton to come out and throw on several consecutive snaps. I don’t think the coaches do. When your opponent game plans to stop the run, you have to throw often to take them out of their plan. Missouri was determined to stop our rushing attack, and they did.
That may be the problem, if what you’re doing isn’t working, you have to try/do something else. Us trying to run the ball right down their throat, wasn’t working. You have to make the D respect the pass or they will continue to load the box to shut down the run.Heupel's offense has always been "run centric" and in particular, runs up the middle and counters. Last year also, it was the run that set up the Hyatt and Tillman and Hooker to work magic. Certainly, the speed of Hyatt and Tillman was respected and helped our running game, but our running game also helped the deep balls work.
Your whole premise seems to say Heupel runs an offense he never has run and probably never will.
You'll need to speak with Heupel about having a better Idea about an offensive strategy than him. That may be the problem, if what you’re doing isn’t working, you have to try/do something else. You didn’t see me “pin it all on Joe”. Also, I don’t need to take anything up with Heupel. This is a message board for us to state opinions on what we see during a game. I saw that our running game wasn’t getting it done and mainly because a stacked box. I also think that’s because they didn’t respect our passing game. You just want to get pi$$ed if anyone has a different opinion than yours. You'll need to speak with Heupel about having a better Idea about an offensive strategy than him.
Hyatt and Tillman were extremely good at getting separation and being "available targets" for Hooker. Bru would've probably helped in that area but overall, we've not gotten open for those deep shots as often. As in today's game, the shorter passes are working better and moving the ball, but the absolute blazing speed isn't there to really open it up. In contrast, in previous games we've broken big runs and that's helped "freeze" the secondary a little to help the separation issues.
The tendency is to pin it all on Joe, and he's DEFINITELY got his flaws, but we lost a lot of talent from last year. If we could "reload" to Hooker, Hyatt, Tillman, etc talent every year, that would be great but it's not realistic currently.
