Any chance that Barnes changes the lineup and James starts rather than Bailey to provide equal height against Texas Tech and a better ball handler?

Young team in rebuild mode? They have 6 seniors and 4 juniors. I’d venture to guess they are one of the oldest and most experienced teams amongst high major programs, if not all of D1.
Im actually surprised at that, I thought they lost a lot off last years team.

Texas Tech will be like Villanova in that they are a tough defensive team with experience.

If Bailey comes off the bench and hits 5 threes that would be terrific. He's the kind of player who could go 5-5 from distance or 1-9.

He has struggled mightily this year in the games I have watched. Coming off the bench could provide motivation & better play.

I don't even know if it's a motivation thing. It's not that his effort isn't there, he's a hard worker. His focus might be off, and in some ways watching from the bench can get your mind prepared to play even when it hasn't been doing it by itself.

In my opinion he is a great shooter that forces alot of shots. A bit impatient. Decent ball handler, but relies on it more than he should. Needs to focus more on creating a good shot when the ball isn't in his hands as opposed to holding the ball too long and forcing a bad shot

Looking at the stats, it seems Texas Tech has a number of guys that can shoot it from 3. Maybe the numbers are bit skewed because of the level of competition, but If we don't clamp down, this game could be a struggle.

Couple that with the fact that our guys traveled from Knoxville to Colorado then to New York. I have my concerns. Start off the game slow and we could find ourselves in a hole like Villanova.

With that said, I still think we are the better team. Just sometimes it takes too long to get it going. That will bite us badly if we don't set the tone early.

Legs are my main concern tonight. How much gas did the Colorado game take out of the tank?

I would consider that training at altitude. Suspect that the Vols will come out guns a’ blazin’ and letting them fly!

I don't think this game is a good match-uo for Plavsic, they may abuse him down low. I said it earlier, but I really hope BHH gets more minutes. I would love to see 5-8 minutes for Aidoo, but that's probably wishful thinking

The new Texas Tech coach was the Texas Tech assistant coach. Read that in an earlier post. Go Vols. A win in NYC is important. Zeigler should play with motivation.

Bailey is starting. Don’t like that but hopefully he is locked in. I mean the guy is due. Numbers would suggest he should have a good game soon.

Without going through the entire thread, I recall we don’t play our best hoops at MSG. Hoping that ends tonight. If already discussed my bad

He’s the one player on the team I’ve seen take plays off.
