Absolutely, was totally unaware of where the open spot on the floor should be. You would think as quick as he usually wants to get it out of his hands he would be aware of that. Also had him wide open 3 seconds before he noticed he was there. Basketball 101. Catch the ball in the high post and look opposite. Majority of the time the wing is wide open. He didn’t even look that direction.
Tech is pretty good on defense. You're not going to light it up against every team you play
Same here. Hoping we wear them down. I dont see us pulling this one out. Its a bad match up for this team. Hopefully fatigue sets in and our guards go off. I would like to see us use or speed more. Both teams worked hard.
This might come down to stamina, substitution play, and, more likely, a few fouls to the wrong players.
I'm concerned if it comes down to free throws.
Let’s see if Barnes makes adjustments to win this game. No excuse for a horrible first half offensively as we look totally unprepared for Techs defense
You are correct, we are just Watching Tech hit the boardsTake being down 4 at the half all day. ZZZ and Bailey with your only makes from 3. Should bode well for the second half I suppose. Barnes has to get away from sitting Vescovi with 2 for that long.
Barnes needs to be chewing some butt over the effort on the boards.
I feel like we say this about Pat Adams a lot. Guy completely sucks at his job. Same one who screwed us with the Jarnell Stokes “charge” at the end of the sweet 16 game against Michigan.
This is probably the best defense we will face all year. Chris Beard may be gone but his DNA is still there.Well, I've said it a lot over the years. Don't wanna jinx myself, but I find that more often than not we adjust better in the second half after we've experienced what we're up against. I think it's bigger than just adjustments though. Gives the players some time to calm down and reconsider what they need to do different. You can prepare all you want for a team you've never played, but actually playing them is the real test of finding out what they are capable of...given that every team has their own strengths/weaknesses to consider. I'm not out of this one. I expect some of our guys to find some fight in themselves during the break. Only need 1 or 2 players to do so, which then opens up others.
