I’d rather see Merk. Gaston is a senior and won’t be playing next year. I’d rather the coaches play a QB that might be a future starter.

Merk is greener than Kermit. Neyland is quite a step up from high school. You don't want to overwhelm the kid with too much too soon.

He'll get some snaps to get his feet wet, but there's no reason to potentially mess with his confidence by playing him too much.
