I for sure am going to have to see the rule or ruling that says waving your team off is the same as a fair catch.

It’s the correct call. The player who caught it should NOT have run since his teammate called fair catch. We would’ve gotten the ball at 25.


Since he ran w the ball, the rule states to place the ball where ball is caught.
