Martin’s teams play physical and make the game ugly. Hard to get any rhythm going. That’s not the way we play well. Gonna be tougher than some of y’all believe.

Gonna be a stormy night in middle Tennessee tonight. Hope the game isn’t interrupted and UT shows up. No such thing as a blowout on the road in SEC. Would love to eat my comment and we win by 20 with no injuries and young guys in early.

Do we clinch a double bye with a win tonight coupled with a Alabama and LSU loss this week? I know we own the tie breaker with all the other log jammed 7-7 teams outside of those two. Alabama owns the tiebreaker against us on head to head. Not sure how the tiebreaker with LSU would work since we split. Maybe best record against the number 1 seed?

Edit: looks like the SEC tiebreaker for two teams after head to head goes to best record against number 1 seed down the list until someone has a better record. So hopefully we can at least handle business tonight and Georgia and stay out of potential tiebreakers for double byes. Alabama and LSU finish the season with each other so I don’t see a scenario we have three or more tied unless we somehow lose out. Would be nice to win out but I have a feeling we finish 3-1.

Yes LSU and Alabama can’t lose another game. And they still play each other at the end of the year. So only one of them could potentially get a 4 seed and it would be a highly improbably sequence of events to happen. Tennessee has all but locked up a double bye

I think that game will hinge on whether Pearl will allow Wendell Green Jr to keep losing them games or if they finally realize Jabari Smith is the guy on that team and he should be taking the crucial shots. Green didn’t even look at Smith on their last possession at Florida and made a horrible play to end the game. If that continues to happen then I say we will win. If Pearl keeps Green in check then it’s going to be a long game for us.
