Really feels like this is as simple as us limiting turnovers/their points off turnovers and transition and somewhat hand in hand us making them score in the half court. Do that and I like our chances, turn it over and let them start running and firing up open 3’s and I don’t.

I just don't buy the whole we need rest narrative. I say win this thing. These 18 to 20 year old are not gonna wear down from playing a basketball game every day for a weekend. They play or practice basketball every day anyway. You would think that they are gonna have to go into an assisted living facility if they make the championship game the way some of you carry on. Injury is the only concern but that can happen in practice too.
All great points and totally agreed. I think there’s a strong argument to be made that additional game(s) to work on our scheme without ZZ is just as valuable as the rest if not more so.

Basically, we have to hope that Mizzou has a poor shooting game. If they light us up from 3 again like in Knoxville, I don’t love our chances. They were making some ridiculous shots that game.
There was a few game run where every opponent made the most ridiculous shots it feels like

Missouri in large part won @ TBA on the strength of a Globetrotters shooting game. Eyes closed, backwards, whatever, everything was falling for them in that game, and they still needed a near half court shot at the buzzer to win it. That stuff isn’t likely to repeat today, I like our chances.

A lot of that felt like confidence they gained from TO’s and getting up and down etc, some were definitely tough shots but felt like we played into it quite a bit.

I honestly feel a little better about Mizzou than Ole Miss. I expected Ole Miss to come out and play desperate, be really loose and know they had nothing to lose. I don’t think we see that at the same level from Mizzou. We can’t turn the ball over like we did yesterday though. Not saying we run them out of the gym, but I like our chances if we don’t commit a lot of turnovers that lead to baskets.

We are better! They Mizzou played their rears off in Knoxville shot it really well even some tough guarded shots. Today I believe we take care of business 76-65 type of score. 😎👍

True. The dangers of letting your opponent get into a groove and feel themselves. Ole Miss hit their first 3 yesterday and then hit four more in a row because they could feel it. Gotta keep that from happening today. Unlike Ole Miss, I don’t think Mizzou’s shooting will fall off a cliff if they get confidence. They are much more talented.

Agree for sure

Hope so. Kinda worried about Missouri having fresher legs and playing with up tempo. Honestly, I won't be surprised with any outcome, but honestly, I won't be upset with a loss either. An added day of rest would be a plus for this team heading into the NCAAT. Regardless, just get past today with no injuries.
To heck with Missouri, they are going down! GBO!

Need to guard their top shooter and block out their rebounder for sure. If Vescovi and JJJ shoot at least 20 each...we should win this one. Two fairly identical records. We may have three higher ranked wins but, we also fell apart/did not get it done playing them, KY, and Bama. This would be a big win after their buzzer beater. Go Vols. Looking forward to it. Home crowd for this one should help.

We beat Bama....what're you smoking?

Kind of funny to think about how a garbage buzzer three from Missouri is responsible for this matchup.

I hope Tennessee runs 'em off the court, but still. Kind of funny. A little irritating too. But also funny.

Wouldn’t we still be 4/5 regardless of that shot?

Well, one thing I do know, the last 2 years, the Vols have been shooting a high percentage on 3 pointers, at Bridgestone. I haven't looked it up, but last year and after one game this year, every time I turn around, it seems like we are drilling another 3. Especially, Vescovi and James

Vols by 20 as JJJ/Santi/Olivier combine for 50 points.

Will edit/delete this post if I’m wrong. 😂😂😂
Just do what most of the miserables do on here, just say something negative before/during the game, then say you’re the biggest UT fan on VN, then pretend like you’re happy when UT wins. Easy peasey.

You must have missed the Colorado game back in November. I wish I would have.
