You know, he may have made a boneheaded decision that got him fired while he was here, but that doesn't mean he didn't absolutely love being here. For all of the bile spit out by some of you now, something tells me you loved him while he was here. He gave this team a fire and drive that had not existed for a long time before he got here.Look, I like Pearl but it pi$$es me off to hear how much he “loves Knoxville” and “loves coming back here!” Forget that noise, I want him to hate Knoxville!
GBO!!
Oh I don’t think there is any question that UT still has a place in his heart. Nothing wrong with saying that. Anybody with a brain knows he could never come back though and I have no doubt he realizes that he’d probably still be here but for the lie to the NCAA. I am sure he regrets that mistake to this day. Personally I’m very happy to have a coach with the class, character and ability of Rick Barnes. That package doesn’t come along very often and we should be grateful we have him.I don't wanna hear any more BS about how Bruce loves UT. He blew it, and a way too many of our fans need to move on.
I can respect that opinion. Loved him while he was here and one of us. Now, he's an opposition SEC coach. He is no longer our guy that draws the immaculate charge (Manu Ginobilli), or the three point shot foul (Harden). He is Auburn. You know, he may have made a boneheaded decision that got him fired while he was here, but that doesn't mean he didn't absolutely love being here. I agree with all of that, and FTR, Pearl is the main reason I'm a die hard UT bball fan today outside of me holding two degrees from UT. I def appreciate what he did when he was here. I absolutely hate him now.Oh I don’t think there is any question that UT still has a place in his heart. Nothing wrong with saying that.
