JJJ combined for 7 against Purdue & Kansas, DK’s biggest “off night” he still dropped 10.

I think people are sleeping on Aidoo and what he’s be bringing. His bad showings have either been foul trouble or just not playing minutes. He’s really starting to become a good big on both ends.

JJJ needs to stay aggressive in the way he was in the first half of the UNC game...and tonight? Didn't see this game. We need him to drive to the basket.

I looked at their schedule and the scores. It's not real impressive but they are a team that might look solid by years end.

They are a mid-major. Probably as good of a team as you could reasonably expect them to be. Not saying it’s a signature win, but it’s a much better win than if we had beaten East California Directional School for the Blind lol.

Not sure this George Mason team is on par with some others but they are probably still a step up from an OVC team. They are not a team you just show up and beat by 20. You have to actually play well and we did.

So far it seems like Santi & Mashack are the two trying to find their new role on the team.

I’m not sold that Gainey should be getting more minutes than Mashack, but he definitely offers more offensively and isn’t shy about shooting.

Joe Dean was one of a kind and Aidoo and Awaka played well tonight and they need to carry this momentum into the Illinois game on Saturday afternoon which should be another physical type game against another Big 10 opponent.

I agree with you I want Aidoo to be more aggressive down low on O. He had played against some of the best centers in college so far this year though.

Aidoo just went through the gauntlet. It probably felt like he was playing against grade schoolers to him.

Agreed Aidoo. JJJ had much more overall impact with a 7 point showing than Dalton with 10.

I don't know. I've always thought the tougher the games the better it makes you. I never felt like playing a Tennessee Tech or Tennessee St really helps much at all. We know what needs to be improved. I guess it can be overdone if your confidence gets completely destroyed.

Gainey's got to start shooting better than 30 percent. He's talented but not so much if your shots aren't going in.

I don't know. I've always thought the tougher the games the better it makes you. I never felt like playing a Tennessee Tech or Tennessee St really helps much at all. We know what needs to be improved. I guess it can be overdone if your confidence gets completely destroyed.

You need a few low intensity games to get into the flow of the season. That’s why professional sports do preseasons and colleges have their buy games. We needed extra time this year for the 2 key returners, 2 transfers and everybody else to gel.

I believe the truth behind that truth is: the better you focus the better it makes you, just like at the driving range.
Playing tougher teams forces you to focus more (though not always, as we see occasionally).
But you can focus just as much against an easier opponent--you just have to focus more on focusing!

Crazy that Shawshank Redemption and Stand by Me (The Body) were in the same book by Stephen King. Both were incredible books and movies

I agree on best. JJJ has been the overall most consistent player when you factor in all the ways he impacts a game and has been consistently scoring.

Yep, hopefully it will be the opposite of some years where we have hit a wall and got some untimely injuries at the wrong time. I'd like to see all the chemistry and everyone healthy coming out of the SEC Tournament and accomplish a great run to the F4.
