The Official #17 Tennessee vs. UConn Game Thread, 12:00 PM ET, SEC Network

Kinda glad we didn’t score before the half. I’d hate to see another OL get hurt on the PAT.

didn't look at the previous posts, but is this a combo of fake injuries to give our D a rest after quick scores or just too tight, crossed legs line alignment causing knee issues on PATs?
I'm an old dude and never, ever have I seen so many dudes down after a PAT either by the Vols or others, pros or high school.
Do we thank Layne for taking what the rules allow? Did Hype's UCF teams have this issue?

Fpr Because the young freshman isn't ready for big boy football. It is not that damn hard to grasp. He should be at a better place now to play vs in the swamp. But even at this point I doubt he is ready to get a road victory with a patchwork OL inaplace like the swamp
When nico transfers for lack of playing time everyone will b**** and blast him.......

Nico has a couple games before his redshirt expires. Id like the offense to get a couple more possessions with JM3 then get a quarter and a half of football with a few of the QBs. Nico may be the future 1 but the guys behind need game experience and have earned some throws.
Been said, they are not redshirting Nico.

Nico isn't going anywhere. This is Joe's team. Nico's parents and Heupel had a plan for Nico. That plan was to learn the offense, get his body right and be ready for next season. They never envisioned him as the starter this year.

You've got to think he knows that, too. Especially with how he comments about the relationship with Joe and his role on the team.

He knows because that was always the plan. He and his parents along with CJH expect big things for Nico down the road. He has the tools to succeed. Nico is the guy next year, he knows that.

Amazing to think what has been invested in a kid that's not plug and play when you think about it.
