The Official #17 Tennessee vs. UConn Game Thread, 12:00 PM ET, SEC Network

Nobody is questioning about how much better he will be, but he’s not there yet and his own family wanted him in a situation where he could grow into the role of a leader.
It's not that hard. I don't get why people are so eager to rush a young guy into a situation where failure is way more likely than the alternative when it isn't necessary. Short term vs long term view. I'll take the longer term.

If he started all year we can make an argument the offense is way more productive
No you really can't. If you don't actually go to games and watch them warm up then you have no idea. I have sat in the stadium a few times this year and watched Nico warm up. He has had trouble connecting on warm up routes and he had a wrist thing early this year. He was not ready and still needs to learn. The scrables today would have resulted in sacks in the SEC with exception of the one up the middle.

Before those of you...and you know who you are...use this game to talk about how great Banks and Martinez are...

UConn came into this game 1-7. Their one win is against a 4-4 Rice team.

Rice. Not UGA, Bama, UF, or even USCe. Rice.

Great win by the Vols today. Great job by the defense. 21 points by the D. Awesome.

Against a 1-7 UConn team. It is what it is.

Go Vols.
Agreed, but there has also been progress from the team that looked rough against Austin Peay
