JJJ doesn't need to be shooting 3s. He is an excellent rebounder and defender but is not s shooter.

Pretty good mid range shooter where grant made a living. He's had open lanes to drive and settled for the 3. He's had to have feedback from people saying he has to prove to be a consistent shooter from deep. I don't know why else He's forced the issue the way he has.
