The Official #19 Tennessee vs. Kentucky Game Thread, 1:00 PM ET, CBS

He has two fractured fingers a back injury, and is recovering from Covid. He’s 15 pounds underweight. He has refused to miss a practice or a game or let himself be listed as injured. Watch the look up n his face when he bumps players or shoots. He’s definitely struggling.
That can't be the reason...he just has no heart. At least that's what I've heard on here.....

If UK keeps making jump shots and 3s. They could very well beat us by 20+. They need to go iceeee cold.

And what point did these players get green light from Barnes to shoot so many fall away midrange jumpers? These deep twos are literally the worst shots you can take in the game of basketball

Folks, just remember when you're calling a player " terrible, he's checked out, why's he on the floor" etc. Remember people were hounding Chris Lofton when he was having a subpar year. He was battling cancer. Just because you watch these guys on Saturday doesn't mean you know them or what's going on in their lives.

Stat wise we arent doing absolutely horrible. UK is just unconscious right now. We need them to come back down to earth offensively.

Let’s just call this team what they are. They are soft, uninspired, and have no offensive identity. All you Barnes worshippers can continue to worship him, however, his coaching this year with 2 future NBA first round draft picks and 2 other potential NBA players has been nothing short of awful. He has not made adjustments, is not willing to change, and has thrown his players under the bus several times when we lose. Not sure anyone can convince me He has done a good job with this team that was a consensus pick to win the SEC and had several media members touting them as a final 4 team
Yeah, it’s not like Barnes tried to do 4 guard or run and gun at all. No adjustments ever

You’re realistic but think we’ll hire an elite coach after Barnes retires? Lol ok
There’s no reason we can’t replace Barnes with a quality coach when he decides to retire. He’s not an “ elite” coach so I doubt we will replace him with an “ elite” coach

Must be the peroxide in Vescovi’s hair.

All the quality coaches aren’t leaving their current destinations unless you want to settle for an up & comer.

the only wins that matter are those in the conference championship and in the NCAA champs...regular season really is irrelevant

He's struggling hard, even last game which was his best of the year I wasnt sure he was actually back. Most of his points against SCAR were free dunks and layups, hes short on all his post moves. It just looks like he has very little strength.

The good news is this UK team chokes a lot this year.

But there's no excuse for us to keep having these games at this point in the season.
Kentucky might play their best game of the year, and we might even lose. But the way they’re playing is really problematic for this point in the year. No excuse

This team is so difficult to watch when they give this little effort on the defensive end. As a result, Kentucky gets infinitely better looks at the basket. Hitting from deep is just adding insult to injury. We get nothing easy, and the ones we do get, we miss point blank at the rim. I have never seen a Tennessee team this offensively-challenged within 5 feet of the basket. Add to that the fact we have reverted to just passing the ball around the perimeter, again, and settling for contested shots late in the clock, missing most, and you have a 15-pt. deficit at the half to an individually talented, but way below average Kentucky team. Just so hard to watch.

Idk why it is so hard for people to simply say "____ is playing poorly rn" without resorting to all the childish insults
