Think it’s safe to say that the Rodney Terry era at Texas is done after tonight. Horrific coaching on his part. Texas had the better team tonight from a talent standpoint, and I’m not sure it was really all that close. He was outcoached in a huge way tonight just as he has on several other occasions.

Will be interesting to see who Texas gets if they do indeed move on from RT. Have to think that McCasland would be one of the first to get a call. Good coach. Makes sense geographically too.

One would think. Terrible execution down the stretch. No offensive scheme to me identified other than hero ball. Every Texas player was so focused on being “the guy”. Selfish basketball lost them the game.

You’d think if you’re down 3 with 20 seconds left and your opponent misses a 3, you might want to display at least mild interest in grabbing the rebound

Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, Bama, Vandy for me. Pope gonna have to win one in March for me to start picking him.

Fair. I just can’t pick a Troy team that lost by 20+ to every major program they played to upset Kentucky. I also just don’t see Kentucky losing to a double digit seed 2 years in a row. They’ve been battling injuries all year and it never really slowed them down.

No, I totally agree. I'm definitely going against the grain. I'd have picked against UK in the 2nd round, anyway, so it's not much of a gamble for a potential payoff that few will have.

Creighton must have a terrible roster around Kalkbrenner.

His offensive efficiency and defensive presence are so high, it’s worth probably 10 pts+ above a replacement level player

True. I actually have Kentucky in the Sweet 16 in one bracket and the Elite 8 in another. I think they have a very favorable draw. Illinois is so hot or cold. We’ve seen them get blasted often. I just think Kentucky is so good offensively that except for the truly elite teams they can beat anyone.

I had to pick them to the Elite 8 in one of my brackets because I’m just ready to be hurt by them again.

Yeah. The team they could have had this year *if* all had stuck around (Nembhard, Kaluma, Trey Alexander). McDermott just hasn't been able to replace those pieces with the same kind of talent.

Funny. I have 2 brackets. One has UK losing to Troy and the other has them losing to Illinois.
