I have come to the conclusion that Cal is a terrible in game coach. Knows X's and O's but cannot coach in game.
Love Aidoo, but his nerves must be shot. He is not a tournament player. Not starting last night and Cal's comments before the game as to why. He can play, but this has been evidently a problem throughout his career when it comes to tournament time.
Awaka is another story in itself.

Their whole team is just soft. Couldn’t grab boards when it mattered. Cal did them no favors by not calling a timeout or choosing to not foul up 3. Just ridiculous choke job. I defend cal sometimes but last night he was horrible down the stretch

More that he always seems to do less in those big moments. I mean 34 minutes and just 5 shot attempts? For his entire career he's had that sort of complacency.

Against Kansas he went 10 of 19 for 22 points...Then against St. John's and then Texas Tech only takes 8 total shots?

Last year he did the same exact thing. Scored 15 in round 1, and only scored 11 against Texas but took 12 shots. Then just vanished against Purdue and Creighton

Well I’m a Dawg so unfortunately my team didn’t make it past the first round, but I was happy that we got it together and made the tournament at all. We were lucky in that win against you guys and that is probably why we made it. But I’ll take it, it is improvement.

Good luck the rest of the way. I’m pulling for TN bc I really like ZZ, but I actually picked you guys to win it all in my bracket. I’d love to see you guys play the Vols, probably be a great game! Both teams are very good.

If they didn’t foul while up 3 at the end of regulation, well that ain’t the first time a Cal team has screwed up that situation. Ask Memphis fans about the NC game against Kansas. That one was just worse because it cost them a title.

I think it’s amusing that Kentucky, Arkansas, and BYU shuffled coaches and all lost in the Sweet 16. Watching Arkansas go to Kentucky and win was quite entertaining as well.
