I was going to play my kazoo, naked, but with the decline in bowl attendance they couldn’t pay what I considered to be fair market value

That is part of it, but the ticket prices is a huge piece. $400 a seat for this game? Then add the insanity of the hotel costs in that area. Cheaper last year in frickin’ Miami than this year in Orlando.

I agree Nico is making plays...but think we havent seen a single quick screen to the flat that widened the field..that's huge..right now Iowa is bunched up the middle and pinning thier ears back. Not getting sideline to sideline like normal

I wish Halzel would have a quick play for Nico on third down. Screen, tight end, something to counter the blitz.

I wonder about the ability to adjust. So far Iowa has come with a blitz on 3rd downs and UT has countered with-------sacks.

Defense has looked good, which was my biggest question mark coming into this one. They lost a lot, but maybe it’s addition by subtraction in the secondary. Iowa isn’t a great offensive team, but they are experienced.

O Line is a problem. Get a few of the guys back will help but we’ve got to start getting some recruits that can be built and contribute. Davis and Lane, glad they have been Vols, but they are liabilities. They just don’t have it.

I am very pleasantly surprised by the defense so far.

With all the defections I wasn't really sure what to expect.

Getting the tackles back and a full year out of Mays and the o line will be solid but you're right. They need quality depth and talent to develop.

They have Warren Satterwhite and Anderson coming in for the developmental aspect.

Wouldn't bother me to see a couple of experienced portal guys come in though.

Those are easier to call and complete with an arm like Joe has. If they aren't playing far enough off the ball it is risky to throw it that far and can get you a pick 6. We have thrown a few when we had enough blockers to pick up the DBs playing tight to the line. I do expect to see a few more middle screens and that shuffle pass to our backs in the second half.
