This has been the problem about the playoff era the past few years. When there is nothing to play for except a bowl that doesn’t mean jack, it’s pretty hard to get excited for it as a player and a fan. I’ve seen it a lot. I know there was a natty in the BCS era, but it seemed like every bowl game mattered outside the natty.
