I’m not sure there’s a better coach in America when it comes to defensive game planning than Barnes man (maybe Chris Beard or Tony Bennett?). The gameplans in these tourneys and how prepared we’ve looked has been hella impressive

We are playing extremely hard yet careless. 2nd half is all about being strong with the ball particularly going to basket. Phillips and Key could go to the FT line a lot if they stay aggressive. Plavsic and Nkamhoua need to be told never dribble the ball….it is an automatic turnover. We are rebounding at a high level. Thankfully Vescovi found his perimeter shot.

Uros is far from the problem so far. Olivier has been a wild man tonight. Luckily he made up for it some with that 3 before half.

How does a team turn it over 18 times in one half? I saw the first ten min and then missed part of the final ten min. I saw many of the turnovers, including Uros throwing it away and fumbling the ball inside, but 18? Wow! Barnes has to be happy his team up 8 @ the half.

Kansas will probably get hot in the 2nd half and turn up the defensive pressure.

If they turn up the pressure any more, then the game will be moved outside to a 100 yard field. Unbelievable what they’ve gotten away with.

Too many turnovers of course. But it wouldn’t be 17 if the refs stopped allowing Kansas to play football. You’re going to have turnovers if the other team is allowed to mug and body check you all night.
