I don't know why we can't rebound losing 14 to 19. One guy keeping them in the game. Hopefully Vescovi gets his shot going in the second half.

Considering JJJ is our length to shoot over a zone and they have made tough contested outside shots and get our offense from paint which I will take the lead at half. Playing and developing our offense from inside will help us long term. In CHRIST Alone

We have been playing with 4 6’8” guys and still losing the rebound battle by 4.

JJJ is definitely missed in that area. I appreciate the team isn’t just settling for 3s though, I like seeing that we can compete without depending on hitting 16 3s a game.

Well Vescovi is supposed to be our Boogie Ellis, but he’s not been himself to start the year. He has the ability to do exactly what Ellis is today, he’s just stuck in the mud right now.

Another first half with poor 3 point shooting. I get that USC wants to heavily guard the perimiter, but if we don't make shots they will eventually stop conceding the inside.

Uros is slow and never in position, .Com same, other F’s are finesse. Although we have great length on this team it is not a crash the board’s philosophy either. People need to remember basketball is different now, not many true post bangers anymore.

We only shot 6 though. Team just isn’t settling for contested 3s

They have 12 turnovers and we only have 3. So they had more possessions where there was no rebound. We aren’t getting clobbered on the glass when there’s a shot. Both teams have 5 o boards

it’s not a coincidence that Vescovi looked so good last year when he didn’t have to handle the ball as much. He’s not having to play pg still but he’s still being relied on to run the offense more with Ziegler than he was when Ziegler and chandler were on the court together last year. He’s much better when he can run around and lose his defender off the ball than he is either creating his own shot or working directly in tandem with the pg. not having a second pg is affecting him more than anything

Santi draws either their best perimeter defender or someone with a big height advantage.

Unless another guard starts demanding attention like that it’s gonna be a season closer to Santi’s sophomore year than last season.
