It helps if players ARE SMART ENOUGH to know where they are on the court and how much time is left on the clock. It take a lot more time to dribble the ball up the court than to pass it up the court. It seems like we have a few players who forget the simple aspects of the game like fouling with 2-3 seconds left on the shot clock, throwing lazy passes at the top of the circle, throwing the ball away on inbound passes, not taking open shots with less than 5 seconds left on the clock, etc. Many of our poorer plays are self-inflicted.

Just hard to explain. We have tried to re-invent ourselves mid season primarily because our seniors aren’t producing. Zero leadership from those two. We saw a few glimpses but consistency is no where to be found perhaps because no one knows what their roles are. It seems pretty obvious Barnes doesn’t know what to do with this group.

No just no. Pearl’s AU team looks horrible, like godawful. I would never trade his team for ours this game unless there was like a 20 point handicap, and his offense is actively making them play worse. Pearl needs 3-4 guys who shoot 40% from 3 to have any chance to win anything, and that’s not happening this game.

Auburn just shoots 32 percent but 10 more shots at the basket is the killer. I think this is the worst rebounding team in Tennessee history. If we can't get the rebound on missed shots a team is eventually going to score.

Havent played well in a month. Springer and Johnson should be getting all the plays called for him but we have to run this stupid offense.

Barnes about to be 0-6 vs. Pearl in his last 6 games and with inferior talent at that. I don’t want anybody, BTO or Josh telling me Barnes is a better coach

I have to agree with you. This squad just doesn’t respond well to the Barnes style of coaching.

If you watch the first 10 minutes or so we were doing that. We’re shooting like 50% from 3. Getting offensive rebounds. We had some trademark droughts due to TOs. I think there have only been around 4 end of shot clock takes that didn’t result in an immediate rebound

Two things your coach needs to have you prepared for going into a game with Auburn. Getting on the defensive glass and getting the ball in bounds. Wiff and wiff by Barnes. He needs to really address these two things at half.

Yeah, something is off with the chemistry. Imo its because the SR were kind of expected to turn the team over to the Freshman, but the freshman aren't ready to lead the team. So instead we just have a leadership void thats left the team with no identity.

I think that Keon is good and has potential, but this is what has never added up to me regarding draft analysis. Keon has an "upside" because he's a 5* freshman who's still "raw," but there are enough 5* freshmen and standout European players to fill the entire first round and spill over into picks 30-40; how are you going to tell me that Keon is a lottery guy over many of these other unproven 5*s and sophomores/juniors/seniors who have proven their worth on the court?

This is pure bulls***. You're either not actually watching the game, you're blind, or you're straight up lying to make the post.

There is no "outcoaching" going on because AU isn't doing anything resembling being coached. We are losing because we suck ass right now.

Seriously, AU is winning on 100% pure athleticism. There is nothing remotely being shown as "coaching". They are not running plays, they are jacking 3 and driving into the paint and hoping someone is there to catch a pass.
