The Pearl apologists never cease to amaze me. I swear half of this board would be happy to see the Vols lose just to perpetuate this Pearl narrative.

He rejuvenated our basketball program, no question. But he didn’t invent it like some of y’all clamor. He’s a good recruiter and a good motivator, but Barnes has forgotten more about developing and coaching than Pearl has ever known.

Can’t wait to see some of y’all defend the medicine show barker after today’s game. “But but but Cooper was out and he still owns Barnes.”...

Barnes 0-5 in his last five games vs. Pearl. Even if Shariffe doesn’t play today, I’m not feeling too good about this one

OK.... game time. What I hope to see is that MOST of our players quit trying to defer and play for a great shot and take the good shot or better yet when the defense is moving ,take the ball toward or to the hole. Don't blindly drive and get charges, but force the defense toward the basket and score or kick it back out. 25 seconds passing around the perimeter needs to stop.

DID YOU KNOW: The Tennessee defense has forced opponents into turnovers on an impressive 23.2 percent of all possessions, which ranks the Volunteers 26th among Division I teams. Auburn has turned the ball over on 22.2 percent of its possessions (ranking the Tigers 311th, nationally).

23.2% is amazing, but who ranks 1st in forcing TO's and what %?
Is this today's reason we could cover?

Just feels like this is one of those typical us against the world mentality game that made Bruce so good early on. I hope we beat the hell out of him but I think this will be a rough game
