Tennessee leads series, 1-0
Saturday's meeting between the Vols and Skyhawks marks just the second time the two programs will face off on the gridiron. Tennessee won the only previous meeting, recording a 50-0 shutout victory back in 2010.
6 hours until kickoff. Remember, UT Martin is little brother ..... Play a fair game and no injuries on either team. This is Coach Pat Summit's alma mater after all.
Go Vols!!!
This will be a good opportunity to practice some things and also to get some our backups some reps. We don’t have a bye like Kentucky but I suspect that while the Skyhawks will definitely give their best, we will have a clean game on both sides with no nastiness, hopefully limiting injuries, improving some things, and getting our guys some valuable experience. Not a bye but shouldn’t have the wear and tear we see in many other games.
Pete Thamel reporting Jalen McCullough and Cedric Tillman out for today. He said Tillman has ramped up in practice this week and is expected back next week hopefully
I’m very Happy the Volunteers are wearing White Helmets and all orange today on my 37th Birthday.
I’m confident the Volunteers won’t disappoint me today.
I expect the most realistic result happens which is the Volunteers steamroll an outmatched Skyhawks team that has no realistic chance of winning.
