The Official #3 Tennessee vs. (#14 FCS) UT Martin Game Thread, 12:00 PM ET, SEC Network

Did Calloway have any snaps today? He was so hyped as a recruit, but seemingly cant get on the field now even in garbage time when we clear the bench. Is he being disciplined for something, or is he seen as not able to improve?
Wondered the same in another thread. I was looking for him and never saw #9 out there.

Did we lose someone today? I missed most of the second half

Elijah, Turnage and T Jackson

Jackson was grabbing at shoulder/collarbone, Simmons leg, might be back next week, Turnage will be fine but was held out as a precaution due to shortage of DBs. Turnage and Keyton hit the end zone wall hard, Turnage with his head. Keyton came back in the game and played well.

My Dad has this saying: "some people'd b**ch if you hung 'em with a new rope".

SOME of y'all in here make me realize exactly what he meant by that statement.

My favorite is “you could give everyone a million dollars and someone would complain they didn’t get a million and one.”

You could give this fanbase a 7-0, #3 team in the nation, with wins over Florida and Alabama but heaven forbid the walk on who is playing his only snaps of the year doesn’t lockdown UTM’s starters.

I think there's room for a middle ground here. Our starters are clearly very good. Our depth is clearly not. They should be able to contain UTm. Not encouraging .

In this era of football I don’t think it’s realistic to expect any esp UT’s defense to shut out any team on any given night. Winning is winning. Blaming a performance on not having enough depth or 5 stars on the back end makes very little sense. When you account for the fact that UT hasn’t been nationally relevant in a long time recruiting has gone pretty well. Performance on the field is what matters to top recruits. By and larger they want to go to programs that win. So you have to win first before the busloads of talent show up. Yet that still doesn’t guarantee you’ll win anything. So again the 5 star argument is flawed.

We better hope Hooker stays healthy.

While this is true and Milton didn't play great, it is worth considering that he played mostly with the twos and threes (and fours and fives), and we were mostly running the ball.

I will say that our run game, even with the ones, was not very inspiring. Seems like out o-line was kind of lethargic today. I'll give them a pass, but we will need the run game against KY so I hope they rest up.

Seems we always get a major injury in these trash games.

I need to apologize for that remark . That was very disrespectful of the UT-M team and I really didn't mean the way I said that. I just meant , when we outclass a lower division team , it seems like we have bad luck with injuries. If there's any Martin alumni I offended , I'm sorry . They're obviously a good team in their division and deserve more respect than that.

I’m watching Texas and OK State. We would boat race both of them. It’s literally hard to watch such crappy offenses play. And Sark was the end al be all when it came to offensive genius just a year or so ago. Whatever….

Slaughter should have been called for textbook taunting after that hit. And he should sit for a while. We don’t do that

Football is an emotional sport but players must control their emotions and not allow their emotions to control them. I’m surprised Slaughter wasn’t flagged for 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty as that was textbook taunting, as he stood right beside the guy and said something.

Good win 🍊Can’t believe Hooker already has 2100 yards and 18 tds on the season and hyatt 780 yards with 12 touchdowns only through 7 games.

I was gonna post this question in the ticket forum but thought I may get more traction here. Anyone have any educated guesses on when the Missou game will be. I got 2 and thinking about taking my 5 year old son to his first.

Also anyone have any intel on section Y9 about row 25? Any good? I’ve never sat behind the goal post before but thought it might be cool.

Not bragging, but I have been to over 200 games in my lifetime at Neyland Stadium, as I view it, Y9 would be good seats... Watched plenty of games in Y6 many years, sir. Go Vols!
