I remember that Texas game and Tre Johnson was just hitting anything he threw up that night. Credit to him being one of the best scorers in the nation ( #4 I think) , but Shack still played good D. Dude might have went for more with how hot he was had Shack not been guarding him.
I can't really remember the Illinois/Jakucionis
game, but even if it was the case he was torching Mayshack, it would be the exception and the exception proves the rule.
Mashack is one of the best defenders in the nation. He's on every top 10 list I have seen this year. Not to mention that, but he forces a lot of turnovers, too.
To say someone calling him " an ace" on defense is "hilarious", is what is hilarious.

I agree, not sure who or what you are referring to in your last sentence, but it's not me. Mashack is an elite defender, which I agree with you. I was just saying the only 2 players he had some trouble with, are future NBA draft picks. Which, also, backs your point up

With a 20 pt lead late in 2nd half and OK giving up I think they just lost focus and go sloppy. Don't see it as problem going forward.

I was referencing a post a page or two back. It wasn't you that I was quoting. I really don't remember who it was, I don't pay a lot of attentions to who says what in game threads, just what's being said.
But yeah, Shack is an excellent defender.
Personally, I think he would be better coming off the bench in Gainey's role, but it really doesn't matter cause Barnes knows when to swap the two out and has done really good in regards.
Gainey just gives us more points and right now they are much needed.

It’s 100% better for us for Auburn to win this one. We have no chance of catching them anyway.

Yeah, we really should be pulling for Auburn.
Oh well, it's one of those games where I will feel good with whoever loses lol.
I still think Flordia gets a good whistle. Powers that be would love to have Duke up top Monday.
Maybe that's just conspiracy talk, but if Flordia gets some very favorable calls it won't surprise me.

Totally agree there. Back to back road games with Vandy and Bama. If Auburn goes 2-0 they’re likely not going to lose a game in conference. It’s insane that’s even possible with how good this league is.

So looking at the bottom of the conference you have 2 teams that clearly won’t be in barring a 180. So LSU and SC are out. After those 2, there are 4 teams that could possibly miss the tourney as of right now:
Arkansas
Texas
Oklahoma
Georgia
I’m guessing out of those 4, 2 make it and 2 don’t. That would be 12 SEC teams in. As of right now everyone else seems fairly solid. I do think anyone with less than 7 conference wins won’t make it. 7-11 is possibly tolerable to make it but 6-12 is too much for the committee to stomach, I’d guess. What does everyone else think?

They had 7-10 first half and at one point, four consecutive . Hopefully it’s not an issue in March. But overall TN played a great game today.

It seems like in the last couple of years, the top 2 lines were set before conference tournaments. Still don't want to rely on that which is why I agree we should win 1 and then not really care. Of course, another SEC tournament championship would be great too

Committee has shown time and time again they don't care what happens in the tournament

Agree. We are not here without Shack. Dude is a blanket. Makes it difficult on any offensive player. Whomever disagrees has no clue about the game. Done stamp.
