We did what I wanted this weekend and honestly better...we got the one but we played better than I thought against the number 1 team in the country...still its gonna take me a couple days to get excited about "seeding" for SEC and regionals...we were so close to being in a great position to win a championship

If it was what I think it was over, it was a coach defending his players which he should do no matter the situation. That is always a good thing and it also looked like his players had his back. I think it helps our chances because it shows we have a coach who has his player's backs.

I think we’re still in a great position. We don’t need to worry about what any other team does going into the last weekend. All we have to do is win games.

Absolutely...that's been a criticism of Coach Barnes before...u defend your guys even if it gets you tossed in games...want to keep your players respect

Why? He admitted he said something “dumb” at some point (not necessarily there). No one will ever know. I like fire in my head coach who isn’t afraid to mix it up with his mentor.

I would guess Max’s celebration might have had something to do with it.

As in, Barnes doesn’t defend his players? The thing that I have learned about Barnes is that he is brutally honest about his player’s performance. But he loves his players, and they love him back.
