Aidoo and Tobe don’t have an answer for Broome. Broome was always going to get his points, but it’s been too easy this half. That combined with missing free throws and turning the ball over is a recipe for getting beat.

Better offense and reliable defense

That’s Tennessee needs for a successful comeback in the 2nd half.

This game is shattering my confidence for March a bit. We just can’t deal with teams that are good defensively and have a physical big man, it’s just our kryptonite this year. Hopefully Knecht can just go crazy and carry us through this one.

Said it many times before and I’ll say it again… I just don’t get why Vescovi plays so many minutes. It just feels like for every 1 time during a game he makes a good play, there are 5–7 times his lack of athleticism cost the team. That last play is a good example. He was given the ball in the corner with a little space. But he has such a slow release and isn’t athletic enough to get his shot off. So he ends up trapped and throws the ball away. That was a huge turnover. He’s just not a good player.

That’s college basketball though. Only 3 teams have really excelled, and they’ve won squeakers, too.

This team just doesn’t seem to be mentally prepared to put together longer winning streaks. They keep having these stinkers in between a few good games which will be a concern in the tournament
