The Official #4 Tennessee vs. Georgia Game Thread, 7:00 PM ET, SEC Network

Unfortunately that game memory will forever be burned into my mind. Hope basketball never sees a game like that again 😂
Oh yeah I remember it very well. Not very often your team scores 36 points and still has a chance to win at the end. That Texas Tech game last season wasn’t far off lol. 44-44 at the end of regulation.

JP didn't make a FG, JJJ didn't make a 3 pt, our leading scorer only had 11, and SV only attempted 4 shots. If you knew this before the game, not sure many think we would have won. Impressive defensive performance tonight though!!

Go Vols!!

Dominant defensive performance tonight and Georgia had their third lowest scoring game in series history.

I really liked our persistence about feeding it inside. We played big a lot more tonight and UGA just didn’t have an answer. I wonder how much more we would have done that vs LSU if Uros had been available

That was the ugliest modern day basketball game I have ever witnessed at the D-1 level. Combine both of those scores and they only beat us by 3 points! 🤣

Edit -

We had a similar game last yr against Texas Tech. Neither team shot over 30% and TN **** 50% from foul line while Tech was 60%. We lost the game but it was so painful to watch.

Santi and ZZ better watch out they are likely facing burglary charges after this game.

It was a butt kicking for sure but a strange game as nobody for the Vols dominated the stat sheet. UGA shot horribly as there was a lid on the basket. But it’s happened to us in the past and I hope it doesn’t happen again until after April.

We had a similar game a couple-few years against Texas Tech or someone like that on a neutral floor. Neither team could score and set basketball back 50 yrs. We lost but the game was painful for anyone watching, including the commentators.

That was just last season. Very frustrating game.

Vols ranked 4th in country...Lady Vols 8-0 in sec...11-2 in football...baseball ranked #1 most of the year...(disappointing finish but still)...and Vols basically elite in so many sports. White has done tremendous job. I think not winning the baseball championship was the most disappointing. We have to start closing these seasons with titles when we're this good....but we're up there w the best in the country in so many sports. It's nice.

Baseball was not the most disappointing. Best season in program history. Anyone that predicted Oklahoma vs Ole Miss in the World Series is lying. Ole Miss didn’t win a game in Hoover and was the last team selected for the NCAAT. In fact, the past two champions are a combined 0-3 in the SEC Tournament. Mississippi State got run ruled in both their games in 2021 but went on to win. No #1 overall seed has won the whole thing since 1999. It’s a very difficult sport to win in due to the randomness.

Saw a lot of UGA fans on Twitter saying, “we coming” “we’re young” “it’s just year 1, wait and see”.

UGA fans, I regret to inform you of this: you have Mike White and your whole AD’s budget is spent on football. Y’all ain’t doing crap next year or the next 5.

Vols didn’t even really play well offensively but sure put the smack down on GA.

Go Vols - Beat Texas.
