I hear ya! I don’t even post there anymore. Just watch and read. But, it takes a lot of will power not to call these people out. What they do is not fandom. It’s just being… well, you know!It doesn’t matter really, I try to not respond, which can definitely be difficult, frustrating and more importantly, just shows a complete lack of manners and history. LSU is the gold standard of SEC baseball, our fans could learn lots from spending a week in Hoover with your fans, which I have. Showing up for the last game is bush league.
As for today, yall are gonna figure it out. No doubt!
Good to know we aren’t alone. I usually avoid the game threads at all costs but broke my rule. And let me tell ya, I absolutely despise the Tiger Rant on game days. The negaTigers are out in full force! Makes me want to vomit reading all the crap from these people, who mostly don’t know a damn thing about college baseball! I’d honestly prefer to take jabs from some of y'all here any day rather than put up with the crap on that board!! It’s so annoying!
I disagree with the last part. No, not bush league at all. Not everyone can afford, prioritizes, or have the vacation time off to take the whole week off for Hoover or 11 days for Omaha. I’ve been at both for the entire tournaments but certainly don’t begrudge those folks who only show up for the championship game. LSU travels like no other fan base for baseball but they have their share of bandwagoners and jerks as well. TigerMan is solid no doubt. I’d love to talk baseball with him one day.It doesn’t matter really, I try to not respond, which can definitely be difficult, frustrating and more importantly, just shows a complete lack of manners and history. Would be a pleasure my friend.I disagree with the last part. No, not bush league at all. What are you talking about? I was referring to his awful throws to first and his lack of clutch hitting as a leader of the teamYou need to go take a couple of courses in baseball. Those steals were 100% the pitchers fault. A high kick and slow release time from the start of your pitch will get you run on all the time. Pop time is how you judge a catcher and Curley's is ok. That pitcher does not need to throw another inning till he learns to do a slide step and speed up his delivery.
No worries, just win the series tomorrow. My suggestion to Tony, is he needs to start evaluating is weekend starting pitching. I'm very SURE he is. At this point he's given them a chance, or more, and they've come up negative. Who else ya got, because these folks ain't cutting it so far. At this point your Friday guy, gets you to Sunday -- hit or miss. Last week that was a miss. Either way we'll see tomorrow. Definitely not a bad think to encounter at this point in baseball...IMO. Just the outcome is unknown...
The mods and elders here do a good job of keeping this place in line. We still have drive-by’s, but we’re a mostly sane group. You’re good company to have. And let me tell ya, I absolutely despise the Tiger Rant on game days. The negaTigers are out in full force! Looking forward to returning to Hoover in May. Baseball fan's perfect storm. Lots of SEC friends over 22 years. Incredible competition. Go Vols! That’s fair. It’s true, we do save up for it and use vacation days. Sometimes I go by myself, I have @feathersax to thank. Still, it’s not a right, maybe it’s a luxury. Hear me as I say this…I’ve gone to the play in games, the experience is fantastic and we lost those, we won a championship and I felt like I was in a packed house of folks who weren’t there for the players, just a trophy they’ll never touch.
GBO!!!
Some individuals live and die by every play. I look at baseball like Golf. You may shoot a double bogey on first hole but you got 17 more to make it up. Baseball teams may give up 2 runs in 1st inning but got 8 more to make comeback. The dramatic posters usually are football or basketball fans first. Whole different mindset needed to watch baseball...I monitored your game thread last week against A&M, and yeah, some of the comments were just off the wall bad. But, multiply that by 50, and that’s the Tiger Rant when we lose!
Well said. Well said! The Aggies seem to be on fire now. They’ve always had the talent. The goal is to not get swept. We already got that so no pressure tomorrow for us. It's all on Ole Miss. Taking a road series in this league is a tough ask. Either way we did what we needed to do. Having said that, a series win would help off set the aTm nightmare.
Yep but as the great Earl Brown would say, we are all fans regardless of how many games you're able to attend. I judge fans by how they support the team. Do they only support them in good times? Do they turn NegaVol and attack the players and coaches when times are tough? Do they only wear the colors or fly the flag after wins? If you’re a front runner and make personal attacks on the players, I have zero respect for those jokers. They need to hit the fan portal ASAP!That’s fair. Curley is the SS. The catcher was Peebles. No P at TN will do a slide step as long as Coach Anderson is there. They’ve been very successful with his philosophy. You might see more pickoff attempts in certain situations but no slide steps. You need to go take a couple of courses in baseball. Those steals were 100% the pitchers fault.
