No one on 1st base, if it drops it’s 1st & 2nd no outs. Not bashing but we can’t do that moving forward against Arkansas.
I played a little baseball growing up and was taught that if the ball is behind you on 2nd, then go to 3rd. Of course, it was caught. But if instincts had it dropping then that was the play.
Yep if a grounder is behind you, but with no outs and any ball in the air your first step is back (including line drives).
I just don’t believe that play was that simple. Aggressive play requires you to trust your player’s instincts. When I saw it hit, on tv, it looked like it would drop. I will leave it at that. I don’t think it was that egregious as other things you see.
