Nope. They can't do that. If they do, they might pee their pants, age related bladder control issues, ya know. If they yell, their dentures might fall out. If they stand up too quickly that darn vertigo kicks in and they might fall and create a domino effect down the entire row. Besides, many of them are just sitting there wondering, "Who the hell am I and why am I here?" It's tough being an octogenarian Vol fan. I'm 80, so I know these things. Be patient, you'll come to know these things too. I'll give it my best shot for you next game but I'm holding you personally responsible for any unintended consequences.Hopefully the food city blue hairs can get a little rowdy.
Absolute trash call on Mashack. He was falling away from the shooter as the dang shooter jumped into him. Come on Rick raise some hell once in a while.
Turning off your scoring to run clock and turn the ball over as a result. Playing not to lose rather than staying aggressive.
Trash that game. Got the dub.
That’s the part that’s so bad. This wasn’t just a bad call made in the heat of the moment. They had to look at that crap, reverse the call on the floor, and say that Mashack fouled a leaning shooter on the elbow WITH HIS FACE lol. This is a screen shot from the broadcast they had to have for their review!
The video makes the call look worse than the still photo. Because if you just look at the screen shot you could make an argument that Mashack ran up into the shooter's space. But that's not what happened. The shooter moved into Mashack's space. I still believe this was an awful call, and I'm just glad it had no bearing on the outcome. This is what I tell my kids over and over - you have to play better than the refs ref, because you will get awful calls that go against you, and all you can do is try to make sure that the call doesn't impact the outcome with your play before and after the call. Here is the point of contact on that REVERSED call! The player’s cylinder is established by the feet and the space DIRECTLY above it. It is limited in front by taking that plane and placing the elbows to the side and reaching forward.
Look at the point of contact. Who is in whose cylinder? This is an integrity challenging call to take the time to overturn the original call.
Tell me Shack does not have legal guarding position. The arc shows shooter’s back foot nearly 2 feet behind it and elbow inside it. Shack’s head, point of contact is clearly above his feet, both on the court!

We need one of those apology letters AFTER an administrative review of this entire process. Dang near criminal.
Also, go back to the 24 second mark and show me the defensive foul in context with the ENTIRE game. Let me know if you see something.
5 vs 8, for both teams. It’s part of the game. The video makes the call look worse than the still photo. Listening to some on here verifies some folks don’t realize the nuisances of basketball. They knee jerk on every ebb and flow of every play. I played the game through high school and have watched a ton of games. What folks got to remember is all teams even the great ones are going to have off nights now and then. The shots aren’t going to fall every night, there are going to be times and points in many games that things don’t go right. There are 5 on the other side of the floor after all. The key always revert to being the most consistent, on offense and defense. Our offense isn’t terrible, at times it plays very well. We are improving there. And yes, night in and night out we are a top defense in the country. We are in a very tough league, offenses really focus when playing us because of our D. And when teams shoot well some folks blame our D, when in fact it was just plain hot shooting. The main things we have to keep doing is having a inside out game plan on offense. We must block out and rebound well and limit turnovers while continuing to create them on D. Our main trait is we are a well rounded team. We share the ball well on offense and play great D game in game out. Ziegler is a great point guard and has to continue to lead. Chaz Lanier is starting to impact the game more than just shooting open set shots. He has a quick jump and release and his overall confidence and game is improving and that is big. Okpara is showing improvement and flashes of great play. I love this team most because the continue to play hard through adversity and overcome it. GBO
I haven’t looked where his feet were when he jumped, but it does not matter where the ball was released. It’s a 3 pointer if the feet were last in contact with the floor beyond the 3 point line. You could theoretically shoot a 3 point layup, just would be very inefficient. That call was total Bull****...I can't believe CRB let that go without @ least a mtg with Refs.....when player shot it wasn't behind the 3 pt line.....
