We can’t win games, even against bad teams, if you’re getting 6 combined points from ZZ, Santi, JJJ, and Mashack. Like, 4 veteran players are being punked by one of the worst defenses in the P5.

I agree with this and think we should play better. If this was UNC or something I would disagree but Vandy is truly horrible this year

Did you not read the opening of my post?!? We are down because of our own play. No excuses on that side, we have ourselves to blame.

But you can’t seriously be taking the position that this game has been called competently. Again, that sequence was awful and it certainly impacted the scoreboard.

I really don't thnk they've played well. It only looks like they have because we've played worse. Some of their shots have looked awful and a few times because we didn't rebound it let them get cheap points.

To put it another way, if we had come out not sucking, against their same effort, we'd be up about 20 right now. And I doubt anyone would be talking about how well Vandy was playing.

Bad half, hate that we seem to always get down in road games.

Gotta play better on both ends this half, and have to pass the ball more, 5 assists is not good.

Agree to disagree. Not that it matters. Whether Vandy played well or not, the fact stands that their lead is a result of us playing horrible.

Verbal leader, gonna need him. It’s times like that first half when a few guys need their butt chewed. Better get to going, there’s no excuse to lose to this team. Aidoo better get stronger this 2nd half and completely work them around the rim. We’ve gotta do better on the dribble drive and hit the open shots.

You misunderstand me. My point wasn’t to blame the refs. It was actually a compliment to Vandy. The refs are allowing physical play and they are using that to their advantage. They really are pushing, slapping, and grabbing. That’s what’s really put us off balance, and its smart play by them.

Also, I think you might have me confused with someone else. I don’t post very often.

So what?? This is an SEC opponent on its home court. When have we played well on the road?? We are a different team on the road. We have to deal with the refs and play better. Refs are bad every game. But why mention it 100 times a night when we just play bad basketball?? You guys sound like a bunch of ________!!

I’m just not real sure why we play such a guard oriented game when we play a team like Candy. They have zero inside presence. All they have is the 2 guards who just go one on one the whole game. We should be pounding it inside to Aidoo, Awaka, Estrella and pile up the fouls on them. If they double, kick out for 3s. Barnes will make the adjustments we need.

Maybe message boards aren’t for you then. A variety of opinions are offered, and game threads reflect emotions of what’s happening at the moment and sometimes that’s officiating.

Nothing is more infuriating than letting a bad team hang around, or maybe we are the ones doing the hanging around.
