The Official #6 [2] Tennessee vs. #11 [3] Creighton Game Thread, 10:09 PM ET, TBS/truTV

The Eeelite Eight has been historically eeelusive for the Vols, and my expectation is that tonight will be the end of the road for this year's edition of a team that has provided all of Vol Nation with so many great moments and memories. DK's 40 against Ky was genuinely impressive, but that last 12 minutes against Aub was the highlight for me! The offensive woes in 2 of the last 3 games and the constant inability of either JJJ or Santi to knock down open 3s at this stage have left me questioning whether the Vols can vanquish a very competitive Creighton team. I believe the Vols will have to score at least 75 points to win and if Creighton can successfully limit DK, then I don't think there is enough clout from the rest of the team to get the job done. Of course, they have surprised me time and again, and I truly hope this will be another of those times, because, like all of you, I surely don't want to see this unforgettable season end tonight! Go Vols and I hope you paint the Motor City O-R-A-N-G-E! Thanks for all the memories and here's to hoping you make many more!

I’d sit his butt somewhere other than the bench

too late at this point, honestly. If he's practiced at all with the team in the last 72 hours, then they are all exposed. I would have honestly started the entire team on tamiflu as a preventative. Too much on the line this weekend to risk half the team going out with illness.

What do you guys think? Can we survive without his standard 1-6 shooting performance or not?

(.... and yes, I know he brings other things to the table. Just messin' around here.)

His defense is elite and it impacts the game in other ways. Also, I hate that his TN career could end in street clothes. It's sickeningly unfair.

This is scary.

He’ll be missed. Even when he’s off he pulls defenses away from Knecht. Mashack won’t be as tightly guarded on the perimeter as Santi would. So Knecht will have less space to operate.

But would it be the most ”Tennessee thing” ever to win this game and then not even have enough bodies to field a team Sunday?
