Tennessee has 12 regular season SEC championships now. I’ve seen 11 reported a few times. But the list is here. It’s 12, which is good for 2nd all-time (by ourselves).
I believe they cont the tournament champion as the regular season champion at that point. At least it's the only explanation that makes sense. There’s some unexplained bookkeeping in the 1940s. The SEC gives 1941 and 1943 to TN and 1942 to KY. Wikipedia shows co-champions all 3 years. Either the SEC recognizes a tie breaker or WW2 disrupted the recognition of champions.

They also turn the ball over A LOT - not good when you face the likes of ZZ, JJJ, Shack and Vescovi.St. Peter’s is a defensive minded, slow tempo team. They will 100% try to slow the game down to a crawl and score in the paint. They are pretty good on the offensive glass and will try to bang the boards and muck this game up. However, St. Peter’s is almost dead last in the country in Effective Field Goal Percentage (359th out of 362) and are just as bad in Adjusted Offensive Efficiency (306th out of 362).
If the Vols establish their pace, this will be a rout. Their defensive metrics are pretty good but I think they’re a little inflated. Playing bad teams and forcing bad teams to operate efficiently in the half court due to their snails pace is where they grind the games away to a win. I don’t see them being able to do any of that to us, at all for that matter.
