JJJ didn't score a lot but had a great reverse layup and a clutch 3 late, a monster rebound that he held on to for the possession arrow and some great defense too. Vescovi had multiple great steals (congrats on the record) and played great defense.

We don't win without our elder statesmen, ZZ being in complete control, Mashack added the runner and great D, Aidoo/Awaka dominated the paint and DK finally found a way to get his. Gainey had some great defense and facilitated in the first half. Even Estrella had a dunk.

We needed everyone to win this. I doubt we shoot this poorly again but we are capable of multiple defensive games like tonight.

I actually thought the Texas fans would be pissed about the announcers all night - they seemed to continuously imply that we were about to go off and put Texas to sleep- at least that’s what it sounded like to me - maybe beacuse that’s what I was thinking the whole time.
At the very end, they were sad Texas took that stupid shot because it was ballgame. That’s natural - you want a buzzer beater/overtime finish if it isn’t your team.

Fans won’t be happy unless the announcers on TV are wearing checkered overalls. It’s gets old bashing on announcers.

I don’t think the announcers showed any bias. Not sure why we are so paranoid about this. And they don’t matter a hill of beans to the outcome. .

Most people were probably mad about them acting like the missed out of bounds call was correct when the ball smacked Hunter in the face. Most obvious call ever with a replay and they still missed it

TN in S16 7 out of last 9 trips. Yes we have had early exits that were painful but dang we have consistently on the mix.

And we need to appreciate every bit of it. Rick Barnes has given us a special era, with or without a championship. He deserves one, and I hope they can get it for him this year.

And announcers called out Aidoo was mugged and bumped by 2 players when his shot was blocked and no foul was called. I think they did a good job overall. People are too sensitive.
