There aren’t many teams in the country that have a collection of true road wins as good as Louisville, Illinois, and Texas

I don’t expect to win this one but to say this team can’t play on the road isn’t supported by results
Careful with all that logic. Some here don't like that stuff. However, Gainey out and a short bench could cause trouble. I'm with you on that post! Whomever plays the 3, 4 and 5 needs to play out of their minds, in my opinion. The three ball needs to be dropping and rebounds will be at a premium. GBO!

Gainey may play.

I just don't see the Vols winning this game. It's a good chance it is by double digits. Pearl has shown he consistently assembles a deeper roster.

I hope I'm pleasantly surprised and we win. A prediction for the Vols to win would be more blind loyalty than a reasonable prediction.

Either we win this in a dominant worldbeater victory with Lanier shooting with firey vengeance

Or another clown show without offense honkhonk

If I had to have an intellectually honest prediction I'd say AU 84 UT 72

Hope fans learned from Ohio State loss. Focus, keep your mouth shut, no bulletin board material, no mistakes, play with incredible motivation and self control. Score more than Auburn and win.

Tennessee defense hasn't given up more than 76 points, and only over 70 points twice (on road to FLorida/Vandy). Auburn offense is good, but shorthand/limited Broome (and against Vol D), will more than likely help keep them from their average/under 80.

I'm predicting more likely AU 75 UT 70

Hope it's a good, close, competitive game!

Well said, that final score will be below the line of 6.5.. gonna sound weird but I’m rooting for Broome to play. The athletic bigs of Fl is what ground us out. More Broome should equal less Caldwell and Johnson. Jmo

Good luck but…

Bet he will score 45 now good job VN!

Agreed. I hate crap like this as it always backfires and makes us look stupid. Just like calling Bennett all night before the 2022 football game. Classless and he balled out and the announcers made sure that we looked like a bunch of horses asses for it.

I think it will get ugly, but I'm hoping we can show some fight and keep it respectable. Said elsewhere that I'll be curious to see if any of our guys wilt under the pressure. If guys like Lanier and Igor show out, it bodes well for the rest of the season.
This. I don’t expect to win this game, but if they lose, the way they lose is important. We have to have guys be capable of stepping up offensively in a game like this.

ESPN only scheduled 2 hours per game. Again. How much of the first half do we miss when Houston at Kansas runs over (6:30-8:30)?

ESPN is doing this on purpose to drive viewers to subscribe to ESPN Plus.

How many games are over in less than 2 hours? 40 minutes of game time. 20 minutes for halftime. 8x 3 minute breaks for TV time outs. That only leaves 36 minutes for EVERYTHING ELSE. Ref reviews. The clock not running after whistles. I hate ESPN.
