Fulmer was at Tennessee for years building something before he became head coach at Tennessee. Kirby walked into a good thing at Georgia and it took him a while. Bama still owns him.
We’re going to win as many as we lose vs elite competition. That’s all you can ask in the nil era.

What got him fired was saying you can’t win too much or people will want you fired when you have a bad run.

He was right though. That’s what got CPF fired

johnny suffered from schizophrenic teams prone to crazy highs and flabbergasting lows. he also had a lot of coaching turnover and he had no real identity philosophically. he'd recruit the best he could get then get the assistants to try to tailor to the talent. Good in some ways but hard to establish one thing you can hang your hat on.

he also tried to coach like he was back in the 50s before scholarship limits and would keep talent in the doghouse for ages with no suitable replacement

People running doin the 12 team playoff are wrong.
This has been a great season for entertaining speculation.
We’re still talking about teams like Mizzou with 2 weeks to go. Instead of 4 or 5 teams.

Conference champs game and the at large to make 6 games 12 teams. The 1st and 2nd teams after that get a bye.
Problem solved.
Make the focus winning the conference

I saw a post in the FF this morning right before church that I wanted to respond to but didn't have time. Now I can't find it.

But I said that to say this.

As I was looking through all of the disparaging posts I noticed several that had Nooga's name in the like box. A couple of them I took offense to considering how I've always treated him back here.

Then I remembered Slice asking not long ago what we gave Tdawg so much chit but not Nooga. Wait, I'll go find it.
