I agree when you consider vescovi and springer are out also.

Can’t expect to make a run with EJ/Gaines/Olivier/plavsic out there for the last 8.

Never understood the "sit your best X for an extended period of time due to foul trouble" approach. He was pulled again against Alabama early in the second half and they notched that crazy run of five three-pointers; keeping a player on the bench to avoid further foul trouble/fouling out only makes sense if you can remain competitive without him on the floor, and that just isn't the case for Tennessee tonight.

It’s a flaw in our defense philosophy. I’m a big Rick Barnes fan, but it dumbfounds me we haven’t tried something else in 6 years. The way we defend the pick n roll is the number one reason we lost to Loyola a couple years ago. They just exploited the hard hedge time and time again.

Florida is killing us on the boards, 26-11. They have 11 ORebs...in one half! We only have 6 DRebs.

This is a carbon copy of the Alabama game and we act like we didn't learn a thing from that game.

Bailey thinks he has to shoot it every time down the floor, and sadly, maybe he does.

And I'm usually quick to defend Barnes, but watching him stand on the sideline with his arms folded as his defense gets shredded and outrebounded by a second-rate Florida team just runs all over me. I wouldn't have taken a single TO into the half if that were me. I'd have called one every single time Plavsic or Anosike got outrebounded or lost defensively and chewed their face off.

Just an inexcusable half of basketball for a team masquerading as a top-10 team, instead looking like a team that figured they could just roll the ball out there and win.

Agree with all that except that its worst than the Alabama game, at least then we could blame them getting absurdly hot from three. Florida hasn't even been shooting that well, just getting 2nd and 3rd opportunities and wide open buckets

It seems Florida's game plan is to clamp down inside and pressure Vescovi and Bailey hard. They don't respect anyone else outside the perimeter

That was a rough half to watch. Missing Springer hurts, but you can't blame that poor of a performance on missing one freshman (especially when Florida is down three key players).

Barnes will give them a halftime sermon, and if we can start knocking down some shots, get an occasional rebound, and keep Pons and Fulky out of foul trouble, we can come back.

First shot defense has been pretty decent, not our best but average. Absolutely have to rebound better in the second half though. Hitting a couple threes wouldn’t hurt either.

It’s just a mystery to me how this team is this poor offensively. I just don’t get it. You look at the athletes we have out there and it really boggles the mind how we’re this poor.

I’m not trying to be negative, I’m just really confused! We should be SO much better than this on offense with this roster.

Well we have key players that are out with injury and pons is in foul trouble.
