The Official #6 Tennessee @ Texas A&M Game Thread, 8:00 PM ET, ESPN

Aidoo had a stretch at the start of SEC play where it looked like he might be one of the best bigs in the country and since then he has been mediocre or downright bad most nights. And Santi and JJJ just cannot seem to find a shred of consistency. Really thought Vescovi was going to blossom this year with Knecht here and he’s just disappeared on offense.

I wouldn't freak out too much over this loss. A&M has only one way to beat you and it works against us when they have home court advantage.

Can't believe Barnes kept him on the bench that long
Barnes didn't like one of the driving shots he took, got on to him pretty heavy, K was fouled and made both free throws, but Barnes didn't like the shot. He wanted him to pass the ball off. Was trying to make a point sitting him out that long, now too late, even if we made all of our shots too far behind, unless they turn the ball over some.

The problem aggies will have in the Dance officials will not allow all the physical play shoving for rebounds and chest bumping drivers to Lane. In our league at home you can ramp up the physicality. In CHRIST Alone

Both teams have scored 35 in the second half (after UT went 5-6 minutes of the second before scoring).

The game was lost in not matching their intensity in the first half and their (TAMU) uncharacteristic shooting of the 3 ball . . . And they owned us on the glass . . . All night.

He was 3-11 on the night before those, not like he was helping us. He’s taken some questionable shots tonight and Barnes has let him know it.
He also barked at Barnes going into one of the timeouts after Barnes got on him. Pretty sure Rick was sending him a message.

I’ll preface this with, I like coach Barnes and I’m glad he’s our coach, but tonight was not his best night. I feel he tries to “teach lessons” too often and the lineups tonight have been mind-boggling.

I feel like we’ve all been saying this for weeks trying to will it into existence, but at some point soon it better start happening. Running out of time to get started on that peaking.
I understand being worry but there still a lot of games left. It’s mid early in February and just gotta learn from it and get better. Last years UConn team was going through the same thing this time last year. Middle of Feb is when they took off. I’m not worried at all yet.

Knecht’s assist numbers really haven’t reflected how good of a passer he’s been. He’s set our shooters (and big men off PNR) up for great looks all year. Feels like they haven’t fallen consistently.
