The Official #6 Tennessee vs. #3 Alabama Game Thread, 3:30 PM ET, CBS

I like the game plan, but not the decision to go for it on 4th and 6.

If we backed Bama up, they might not have been able to get that last score.

If we get a TD to open the 3rd it might not matter.

It only cost us 3 points. It’s fine. The WR was wide open. It should have been a touchdown to put us back up 18.

Nobody punts from the 36 yard line - not even fulmer. Either FG or go for it. Period. Especially with 2:35 left.

The blitz and pressure looks like the only defense they have for the passing game. Now that Bama has stopped that I feel like they will come back
Defense needs to go balls to the wall like they did in the first quarter.
Early in the 2nd quarter they gashed us right up the middle with a RB draw play. We only brought the 4 down DL and ran stunts on each side, looked like we were in a zone (I'm not sure). Left ourselves wide open to get gashed.

Seemed like DC Banks has been a little too tentative to get creative with blitzes or pressure since then.

We're gonna need some kind of good 2nd half adjustments. We're not getting enough pressure to make B. Young rush his throws just bringing 3 to 4, and our coverage can't hold up. Particularly J. Banks, he's gassing and getting abused in coverage.

We might outscore them in a shootout, but I'd rather we get creative and force their offense into some mistakes.
