I agree with you that most of the time its fairly even, but I felt tonight's commentary was a bit over the top.

Clemson was getting beat in every phase and even after the game had been decided for some time they still gave Clemson unwarranted credit.

90+ plays 14 points that’s about as bad as it gets.
That defense gave up 31. A defense that was suppose to give Tennessee problems.
Their Cinderella story folded like a cheap tent when it mattered most.
Every bit of home cooking from the officials.
mentioning the kids name so much you could set your watch to it.
Clemson isn’t and probably will never be again what they were and it’s time their fans egos take a reality hit.

Our downfall was Clemsons gain but tonight we showed them we are reclaiming our spot and kicked them good doing it!!!!! Oh I am soaking this one in! So happy for the Vols and all the fans that have seen the great, the bad and the ugly and endured it all! We are back to competing at the highest level and we are just getting started. I still stand by this. He won’t be our most talented quarterback in 2023. He’ll be the one that’s most familiar with our system, but not our best qb. I think he relies on his athleticism to overcompensate for his decision making and mechanics, or has in the past. I hope he proves me wrong, but 5 years into his college career and he’s still a project. Not bashing the guy, just stating the obvious.

Aaron Beasley simply owned Clemson in the first half. Made Kublik flinch & flustered. Having the Beasley, Herring brothers together should make for fun defense next season.
