He’s actually been worse than I thought he would be at this point. Poor shooting, bad ball handling, and bad decisions on the court. I think he will get back to near his old self by the end of the year.Zeigler is troublesome with the ball thus far, I know he's coming off an injury but I feel he is costing us thus far... hopefully he gets in sync soon
If he does we become a contender. He’s been a major liability so far
This makes sense as long as Zeigler’s struggles to return to form don’t end up shaking his confidence. Maybe managing a player’s return from surgery is a bit similar to managing a talented freshman’s integration into the lineup in that regard. Give them all they can handle without them feeling overwhelmed?Maybe it’s better to go ahead and let ZZ start working his way out of a funk ASAP rather than to hold him back and then he maybe doesn’t reach maximum production in time for the SEC and post seasons. If he’s physically fine and it’s all mental, then holding him back won’t accomplish a whole lot compared to letting him work through his issues. And obviously, the Dilione injury alters the timeline of ZZ’s return. IMO, Dilione won’t be 100% ever this season or at least until deep into it.
