The Official #8 Tennessee vs. Texas Game Thread, 3:30 PM ET, ESPN

I guess I can’t call it a disappointing half, but it certainly feels like that with how we played defense.

I will. This is giving me Ole Miss game vibes. They are hitting everything and some of it is not great defense. And again we had 2 different 7 point leads with chances to extend both and we lost them.

Texas should be very tired and yet they look very up to the task.

Whenever the defense isn’t stifling the opponent, our offense tends to make up for it. That’s the silver lining and why I think we can make a solid run in the tourney. It’s a shame we can’t do both at the same time. We aren’t a team that blows people out

Texas shooting 56 percent. We've done well 47 percent. Going to have to clamp down on them they can't shoot this well all game if they do they should win.
Given they've already played those 2 other games, I think it makes sense they would come out hot. Those legs are going to continue to get more tired as the game goes on.

Jay Williams starting in now. “I worry about the physicality in this league.” I guess if you are from Duke, you prefer the ballet.

Actually, he's spot on... everyone in the ACC knows Duke gets fouled constantly even for breathing on their jersey... because the ACC refs say so

DPOY keeps getting a bad whistle in the first half and having to sit. Im tired of the physicality bs narrative, we dont play any more physical than rest of the league. They act like we are just over the top physical.
