A lot of game left. But is anyone honestly surprised by this garbage start? It’s all consistent with our M.O. this season: A penalty that keeps the opposing team’s drive going . . . Hapless-looking on offense for the first two possessions . . . The supposedly stout defense seems to have not even made the trip again in a big road contest. As I feared, we are (yet again) the “get well” game for an opponent who was coming in reeling a bit from a bad loss. We are the opponent who helps take the pressure off an embattled coach. The only thing we haven’t done yet that we normally do early is turn the ball over.

And . . . There’s another TD to put us down 21-0. This is the most Tennessee performance ever. We just don’t look like we should be here.

Well, let’s hope we wake up and make this competitive. So far, we’re garbage - and Heupel doesn’t look like he has figured out how to get a team ready for championship contention.

And, man, Nico doesn’t look good yet. Maybe he’ll warm up.
