Well if they want to people to consume their product they may want to keep their viewers engaged in the game they're watching instead of giving us silly anecdotes and talking stuff people just don't care about.To be a bit fair to the announcers, I’m sure it’s harder to add insight to the game when they’re not at the game.
Wouldn’t be surprised if ESPN tries to roll with this more even after COVID in order to save money.
