Ridiculous the way our help defense leaves players wide open. Barnes surely can see that . If not, he needs To take a pay cut

Arky has 11 turnovers while we have 2. Thats 9 extra possessions and we losing by 7.

I don't know how to fix it, but we've got to get better from the perimeter.

College basketball has a huge emphasis on the 3-ball now. Back to back games where we are bricking everything from 3 including wide open shots and our opponent cannot miss. This happened in the 2018-2019 season, too.

Arkansas shooting 57% from the floor vs our 41%. That should come down 2nd half but we need to start rebounding and scoring the easy baskets.

Yep. We have always over helped on defense. Barnes always hopes the 3s are not falling. Running at shooters late does not bother players these days.

It just depends on the opponent.

I agree with one of the commentators at half time. It's like our shots all look difficult and I thought that last game too. I also wonder when the hell are our opponents going to quit getting friendlier rims than we do on our home court. I mean damn, we can't buy a freaking shot to fall to get to 2 buckets in a row after stopping them.

Need to get some in transition and around the rim, but we missed a lot of open threes this half. Make a couple of those and it opens everything up.

I’m all VOL. you guys are acting like we are THE best man to man defense nationally. We’ve played horrible competition. Now, we are getting exposed. A simple zone implementation strategically would help. Don’t be a sheep.

Missouri routed them at Arkansas -- defending the 3 seems to be a problem the last 2 games

Barnes is a stubborn coach, but he should change offense since we only have one true post player to exactly what bama and Arky are doing. Fulkerson is not strong enough to run offense through by himself and Pons is a liability. So then what? You get what we are, an out of synch poor shooting team. And the defense has been out of position BAD, they’re not even straight up man. I think they lost their legs at Mizzou and Barnes is wearing them out in practice- they look slow, tired and lifeless!

That exact same thing was said in the Bama game. I would not expect that percentage to fall unless we start playing good defense, which we certainly are not at the moment.

The offense has been bad in both of these home games. We don't seem to get any easy hoops. JJJ shot it fine but he doesn't shoot enough. I would like to see Fulky get going. Need a very good half on both ends of the court. This is a game we should win especially at home.

Yep. Bama & Ark don’t shot this many layups in warmups. Cant blame all on Vescovi either. He’s hardly played.

Guarding the ball and rebounding are both issues right now, but what I find most maddening is our inability to hit good shots. We've missed several bunnies right around the rim as well as some open jumpers. It's a different game if we convert on some of those.
