Since South Carolina swept Florida. The Gamecocks are 3-9 and 1-7 in last 8 games.

Game 1 on Thursday will speak volumes about how rest of series will go.

Vols steal that game and the chickens will in a pressure cooker on Friday and Saturday.

Despite those terrible numbers. South Carolina is still #5 RPI after losing 2 spots last night. I really think SC has lost the chance to be a national seed and are playing to avoid being on road for first weekend.

Lose the series to Tennessee and they are staring at a trip to Duke, Coastal, UVA, West Virginia or even Clemson

I would be very surprised if they lost hosting. Maybe losing a super regional. They have OOC wins against Clemson and UNC. They have 18 wins in Q1, which is tied for third overall. Their resume is probably better than LSU’s and certainly better than UVA’s and Coastal’s.
